Hoping for a return to form
After a promising Dakar debut in 2013, where he finished in 27th place, Siarhei Viazovich followed that up with an impressive 11th place in 2014, finishing 8 of the 13 stages in the Top 10. In 2015 he could only manage 34th place overall but again showed his speed by getting into the Top 4 on four stages, with a best result of 2nd on Day 2. It looked like it was all set for Siarhei to combine pace with consistency in 2016 but sadly he went out on Stage 8 while lying in 24th place overall. Back with the same mechanic and navigator for the third consecutive year, the Belarussian will be hoping to bring it all together in 2017.
